Each year, more than 10,000 rubber ducks take to the Big Thompson River in one of Estes Park’s most iconic and entertaining community traditions. When you adopt ducks through BTWC, you’re not just supporting local conservation—you’re also joining the fun and getting a chance to win big. Top prizes this year include $10,000, $6,000, and $4,000 for the first three ducks across the finish line in the final flight, along with approximately 300 additional prizes from local merchants. Your duck adoption helps fund BTWC’s work to protect and restore the Big Thompson watershed through stream restoration, forest health projects, wildfire recovery, and community education. It’s a fun, easy, and slightly quacky way to support clean water, healthy habitat, and a more resilient watershed.
